Ibiza 2014 Opening Parties

Yay ! Space Nightclub has already announced it's opening party - Space Sundays the now legendary weekly event will open on Sunday 25th May 2014...and already the closing party has been announced for Sunday 5th October - already we're sad just thinking about the closing parties !

So we're 99.9% confident that Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel will host its opening party on Saturday 24th May 2014, as they have always opened the day before Space.. and also they have put their prices up for the few days over this date .. always a sure sign that they are planning a big party !

Meanwhile we're eagerly awaiting the announcement of Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza's opening party. As this will be the first Hard Rock Hotel to open in Europe we're sure they will bring in a big name act to mark the launch of this iconic brand in Ibiza... I wonder who it will be... ?

Las Dalias Hippy Market - Night Market

Las Dalias is a must visit place of interest on the White Isle. Located close to San Carlos village towards the northeast of Ibiza is the hippy market that has become a bit of an institution on the island. It may be a bit of a cliche but this is more than just a market, with music, food and drink...it's more a way of life, and offers locals & visitors a chance to meander around the many stalls selling clothes, jewellery, art and general "nick-nacks" to help you celebrate and remember your time in Ibiza. Ibiza Public Holidays (part one) - 5th August The public holiday in Ibiza on the 5 th August is celebrated every year and is known by a few names including: Santa Maria de las Nieves or Nuestra Senora de las Nieves (which translates as “Our Lady of the Snow”, which is interesting as there is not much snow in Ibiza!). Santa Maria is the Patron Saint of Ibiza.   The festivities continue until the 8 th August, although the main festivities are on the 5 th which culminates in a firework display. And the reason for this celebration? well it doesn’t take much to start a fiesta in Ibiza and the reason for this one is to commemorate August 8 th 1235 (that is the year not the 25 minutes to 1) when Ibiza was conquered by the Kingdom of Aragon, previously occupied by the Muslim leadership.
